• Exceptional customer service philosophy and practices
• Overall positive impact on the community
• Positive business growth
• Benefits & services for the community through spirit, drive, and vision

To qualify, the business must have two or more of the following:

• Stands apart from other businesses in terms of customer care
• Responds to all questions accurately and in a timely fashion
• Leaves a good impression on clients in terms of product knowledge, first impression, buying experience

Recognizes a registered not-for-profit organization that has exceptional community service and leadership. +

Charities and not-for-profits often depend on the generosity of businesses and individuals to get the money they need to carry out their goals. Big or small, the winner of this category will impress the judges with their motivation and community spirit in their approach to achieving what they set out to do, be it educational, charitable, or cultural.

To qualify, the business must have been open for a minimum of 3 years and have three or more of the following:

• Community involvement
• Innovative service
• Positive contribution
• Social & community advancement
• Strong leadership
• Eligibility rules
• Businesses are only eligible to win every two years.
• Businesses can self-nominate or be nominated by another party.
• Nominees may receive an award in one category only. If a nominee is a finalist in more than one category, their submission will stand in the category where they have achieved the highest score.
• Nomination packages are for one business only.
• A separate nomination package must be submitted for each award category in which the nominee is to be considered.
• The Winkler & District Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to limit the number of selected nominees and/or withhold an award in any category.
• Nomination packages will not be returned. Please do not include materials that you would like returned.
• Tapes or videos will not be accepted.
• All applicants must be chamber members in good standing.
• After the awards are presented, all nomination information is destroyed.
